« After several years working in a production unit for Schneider Electric, I wanted new challenges in other sectors of the group. However, English was a barrier to my professional evolution. I had to get over it! The Upgrade programme was in a small group of 4 colleagues over a short period of time. This formula enabled me to get over barriers I had with the language, daring to speak and limiting my apprehension over listening.
Boosted from this rich experience and to accelerate my level of autonomy, I followed on with the Fast Track programme which demands more regular practise. The highlight of this training is the presentation of a project in front of an audience with open discussion afterwards. Fast Track completely freed me of my apprehension. I could feel the difference in my daily work straight away. I started to take part more actively in meetings in English and no longer hesitated to pick up the phone to speak to foreign colleagues.
Since then, I have joined a new team working in an international environment with frequent exchanges in English and I’m using spoken and written English every day.
I really want to thank our facilitators, and the term is right, for the advice and methods they shared throughout the sessions, for their ability to help us go for it, for their benevolence and sense of humour. It’s a great way to boost your English! »
